Memorial University is pleased to welcome the 19th meeting of the Canadian Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies--now come of age in its 21st year--in conjunction with the Atlantic Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies. 1992 marks the 40th anniversary of the laying of the cornerstone of Memorial University by its first Chancellor, the Right Honourable Viscount Rothermere, on 9 October 1952.
