CSECS is currently seeking new members to join its Executive Committee. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the Society’s many initiatives and to actively promote Canadian eighteenth-century studies. Getting involved with CSECS is also a wonderful way to build connections with colleagues from various disciplinary and geographical backgrounds.
Members who wish to nominate themselves or a colleague are invited to complete this online form by November 20, 2026.
The following positions are open:
Delegate to ISECS/SIEDS
The delegate to the International Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies (ISECS/SIEDS) shall participate in the congresses and meetings of that society and prepare a report for the Executive Committee on all matters concerning the two societies.
Term length: 3 years.
Start date: December 2026.
Graduate Student Representative
The Graduate Student Representative shall meet with the student members of the Society at the annual conference of the Society and shall maintain contact with student members throughout the year.
Term length: 3 years.
Start date: December 2026.

All Members of the Executive Committee are expected to:
- Be available for occasional consultations and online meetings throughout the year.
- Attend the Annual Executive Committee Meeting and the AGM, which are held during the annual CSECS conference.
