S'appuyant sur le travail du comité ad hoc sur la décolonisation (2018-2022), le mandat du comité ad hoc sur l'équité, la diversité et l'inclusion (EDI), créé à l'automne 2023, était de coordonner un processus de consultation visant à identifier les priorités de la SCEDHS en cette matière.

Le comité a formulé trois propositions, qui ont été adoptées lors de l'Assemblée générale de la SCEDHS à Regina (2025), et qui guidera le nouveau comité exécutif dans son travail pour l'équité, la diversité et l'inclusion.

The Robert and Moira Sansom Ideas Foundation was established in 2013 with the intention to create a Graduate Student Scholarship for Studies in the History of Ideas, granting $10,000 each year in support of the work of the recipient. The scholarship is open to graduate students, who are or will be studying at a university in Canada, whose work relates to the History of Ideas.
